I paint acrylics on canvas, as a panel, with gestural brushstrokes and using the monotype technique. I currently use post-war abstractionist artists and the Japanese-Brazilian artist Tomie Ohtake as references. The title refers to the freedom of change and choice and is also the title of a poem by the late Brazilian writer Cecília Meireles, whom I greatly appreciate and admire.
