This work, belonging to the series "O Culto da Memória" (The Cult of Memory), arises from the intention to honour and stimulate memory.
Between the game of knowing and recognising, remembering and forgetting, which walk side by side in the images, in the photographic records and in the constructions and reconstructions, in which Rita Pinheiro, through painting, establishes a reconstruction process, a diffuse interpretation, mediated by the photographic record, in a personal search for the unspeakable and inaccessible.
The series "O Culto da Memória" (The Cult of Memory), was present in group exhibitions, as well as in two individual exhibitions, at the Art Gallery Ortopóvoa (Póvoa de Varzim) and at the Martins Sarmento Museum(Guimarães).
