Regina Ramos (1992) was born in Vila Nova de Cerveira and has a master's degree in Fine Arts - Painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.
Regarding her artistic practice, her interest has been centered, above all, on a will to bring her personal garden to the pictorial plan of representation, and to rethink in practice a renewed way of looking at her own physical and conceptual limits. The artist finds in her garden a stage of constant twists and metamorphoses that, through emotional and multi-sensorial involvement, allows her to transform it, incessantly, into a mobile territory full of “changing cartographies”.
“What I care about capturing is precisely this influx of simulations and expressions that allow me to revive my garden in the experience of painting (...) those displacements that transform and re-complex what is perceived physically, symbolically and conceptually in a new territory that is, in all its essence, imagined. ”
