Miguel Oliveira’s work is an ode to unpretentious art despite being born from a complex cross between outsider art, land art, impressionism and expressionism. While mainly focusing on wooden sculptures, the artist also uses plastic paint, pigments, resins and enamels. His work appeals to an environmental awareness with a particular ennoblement of the materials. Miguel finds inspiration in confrontational authenticity between the isolation of being and the community observations.
“Inspiration, to me, comes from strength of will! Among other things, getting back to the studio and start again or continue the work that is waiting for me… It is my space of freedom and this is very inspiring to me”.
