zet gallery opens OPEN CALL of the 2nd edition of the ART IN PUBLIC SPACE & SUSTAINABILITY Award
The Art in Public Space & Sustainability Award is back!
The 2nd edition of the ART IN PUBLIC SPACE & SUSTAINABILITY Award is coming, an initiative of the dst group and zet gallery, with the support of the IB-S from the University of Minho.
The first edition of the award, in 2020, had as the winner the artist Lorenzo Bordonaro (IT, 1971) and the work “Refúgio” (Haven), which was given to the Municipality of Braga for public enjoyment, located in the Guadalupe Park.
The initiative aims to challenge the artistic community to create one artwork for the public space of the city of Braga, from the industrial waste of the dstgroup campus, seeking to foster sustainability through circular economy, democratize access to art and encourage contemporary artistic creation.
On March 3rd, at 11:00 am, the presentation session of the 2nd edition of the Art in Public Space & Sustainability Award took place on the dst group campus, and from this day on, applications to the Open Call will be open.
The session will be attended by Councillor Olga Pereira, representing the Municipality of Braga; Engineer José Teixeira, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the dstgroup and founder of zet gallery; Helena Mendes Pereira, General Manager of zet gallery; and a representative of IB-S.
