The monument to “Lionism” sought to mark the centenary of the movement at an international level. It was designed by Paulo Neves and is composed of several overlapping cubes that contain his language: the grooves in the work of the stone and the geometrized faces. It contains inscriptions at the base of the monument.

Within the scope of the protocol signed between the EDP Foundation and Braga City Council, the ENERGIZARTE project took place, which brought to the banks of the Cávado River several interventions, framed in urban art. For this intervention, the students of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado were also challenged to be the protagonists.
In “Aqui não há nada para ver!” There is, on the front of the intervening element, a well-meaning believer who watches over the passer-by. On the sides, you can see the diabolical temptations of lust, the saints that dispute the faithful without considering the means and a proof of maturity evidenced in a handful of sand from the bottom of Cavadinho.

In this work, in collaboration with José Pedro Santos, three-dimensionality was sought, with the integration of traffic signs in the painting, to conceive an intervention that foresees a change in the perception of the School space to a place where one is endowed with the precious tool of knowledge and has greater freedom of choice.

This work is based on the book "Viagem a Portugal" ("Journey to Portugal") (1981) by José Saramago (1922-2010) who, in his itinerary through Minho, was stopped here by the "saddest eyes that can exist in the world". These eyes belonged to Tone Manta who lived with his sister in conditions of extreme misery. This work is a simple homage to these characters and to all those who, like sunflowers, have lost their heliotropism at some point.
