“Belas Artes” (Fine Arts) is an oil painting whose main characteristic is the photographic index capable of causing misunderstanding about the nature of the image.

The creative and technical process includes the photographic capture of the artist's daily life, banal photos of people and places. Then the selection of images that show a certain existential precariousness and social deficiencies such as exclusion. In this case, a photograph of the entrance hall of the University of Fine Arts was chosen. Like photography, painting is intentionally blurred. There are no contour lines, so sfumato is the technique used.
Some influences are in the works of Gerhard Richter, Andy Denzler and Jens Hesse, as in the texts of Roland Barthes, Philippe Dubois, and Donna Haraway.
