Engraving belonging to the series of 5 girls inspired by old sewing magazines. The model girls in these magazines have an angelic tone and seem to live in the bucolic countryside, far from the disruptive modernity of technology.
The series features crochet pieces that I made for the work, they were embossed with soft varnish. After printing these images they were embroidered in cross stitch. The embroideries were chosen and designed so that every print in the series was the same as another, keeping the parameter that the print run establishes. I wanted to work with floral themes, these flowers chosen later gave names to the prints. The embroidery line over the print line allows a perception of dimension, the image acquires a relief, and its colours compose of the colours of the print.
