João Sousa Pinto has developed work mainly in the field of painting, focusing and reflecting about the possibilities of this practice in the contemporary context. The influences are artists coming clearer, contemporary Portuguese panorama, especially those of other painters, such as: Pedro Proença, Manuel Caeiro, James Mourão, Jeanne Rego, Martin; but also foreign artists, more and less well-known: Adriana Varejão, Sven Kroner, Daniel Buren, Euan Uglow, Angela de la Cruz. The artist presents a work of geometric and minimalist bent, with a pop of color palette flat and clean.
