He develops a work that focuses mainly on the possibilities of painting as a means of production in contemporary times.
The work explores some fundamental principles of painting as bi/ tridimensionality - often seeking a more spatial vocation of this medium - figure/ background, representation/ referent, Illusion/ reality, with more or less compromise, with a special interest in contradictory dichotomies and concepts.
With a universe of childlike visuality, often in contradiction with content, it oscillates between large categories such as still life and a painting of a geometric nature that is not objective - but also not necessarily abstract.
Graduated in Fine Arts and Intermedia by ESAP in 2010. Completed the master’s degree in Artistic Illustration by the University of Évora in 2013. Works at the Abel Salazar House-Museum since 2014. Lives and works in Porto.
