Sara Maia graduated from 1991 to 1997 at Ar.Co (Center for Art and Visual Communication) in Lisbon, however, since her early teens she had an exponential talent for drawing and painting in a highly figurative language. narrative and sometimes of grotesque theme, which brings it closer to the English neoexpressionism of the 1950s and 60s and, in particular, to Paula Rego. He has been exhibiting collectively since 1992 and individually since 1995. His curriculum is attended by several national and international institutions, including important awards.
