What the "eye" of the artist does is to select a frame and rationalize its perception, clearing it of all that is incidental and fleeting (that is, all that visual noise that animates cityscapes), even if it means the exclusion of man himself. The resulting images of this reasonable clearance of visual space are those that we can see in these screens of André Lemos Pinto. They are landscapes built by man, but where human presence is just emanating.
