"# 03" is one of the works that make up the series Untitled IV.
This series consists of 32 paintings that depart from the appropriation of photographs found in advertisements for sale and rental of dwellings in Lisbon, through the pictorial intervention, to promote reflections on cultural and social changes resulting from drastic modifications in the current local real estate market. Images, once banal and ephemeral, become unique through painting. The use of expressive brush strokes, as well as the overlapping of different layers of color, reduces the photographic index to mere suggestion and allows only a few objects from the original record to be identified. These images then become the last portraits of the families who lived there: empty spaces, built through the filling of the houses and the vestiges of the life of their former residents.

The painting will be shipped mounted on aluminum plate.
