This piece is part of the series of work entitled "Eyes - Nose - Mouth", in which the face is reduced to its essential elements, taking advantage of the micro-expressions of non-verbal communication to convey an emotion or idea.
In this particular piece, the sculptor also was inspired by the philosophy of the Japanese technique of Kintsugi were the imperfections of the process or of the piece are owned and a fundamental part of the end result.
