“Rafa López’s palette is not purified. On the contrary. But the color tends to be flat, as in pop, and from this conceptual dispersion, the artist quickly becomes restless and leaves for the object and installation styles. In addition to the dozens of paintings presented in this exhibition, there will be an installation that the artist designed for gallery shairart dst. In order to prepare it and, above all, to immerse himself in the Luso-Galician context, unlike the Andalusian, the artist was in artistic residence in Braga for a week. What we see in this exhibition is more than the product of a few years of work: is how he felt us and how he related his work with the place that hosted it for this first major international exhibition.” by Helena Mendes Pereira
