This work is part of a professional and creative path with more than 15 years of plastic research. With references from artists such as Mapplethorpe and Koons, Beuys, Matta, Bellmer, Brus, Sarmento and Emin, this work’s subject deals with an obvious and explicitly eroticism of female sexuality.
At the same time, one can trickle down the minimalist work’s roots in Baudelaire and Anaïs Nin’s literature work.
Technically, the work mixes influences from photography, drawing and plastic informality from the 1940’s by its mattered and textured backgrounds. Expressively, it is this artistic language that operates the transformation: the path from the observed real to the imponderable, fluid and elusive surface that "only is visible with the eyes wide closed" (O. Redon), which is the dreams tissue (Ana Lídia Pinto).
