Improvisation by Ballet Cymru dancers Gwen and Krystal, experimenting with poses derived from slow, deliberate movement in my painting studio. Gwen and Krystal worked very closely together with the company, enabling them to anticipate each other's moments as they improvised, finding some beautiful poses.

The picture is monochrome, and painted on a heavy flax stretched on a deep stretcher. It is part of a series featuring these two dancers.
