An original and unique work representing the Mad King - Charles VI the Mad, who ruled the kingdom of France for almost thirty years (1392-1422). One immediately imagines a wicked tyrant, hated by his subjects, and France abandoned to anarchy. For the French of the time, paradoxically, Charles VI was not the 'Mad King' but Charles 'the Beloved'.
