Maria João Oliveira is an established Portuguese artist with a disparate work in the pictorial field. Her painting focuses on turning an interior look and, that way, not falling into an observed concretism. Fernando Pernes said about an exhibition by the author: "Only that there are no fixable standards for such a labor, mobilized from the spiritual and visceral interior, also inherent to womanhood. And where the worlds of dream and desire intersect with the foundations of what we call art, crumpling the intimate lyricism in the drama of universal life."It must be noted the importance of useless, in its social utility of public duty, where the artworks of the painter take root and proliferate in a common sense of abstract and minimal art.
