The work of Anabela Rodrigues is fundamentally characterized by sculpture and painting. In sculpture a more perfectionist and cautious side, in painting a more explosive and expressive side.
She began by working primarily on the found wood fragments, building large scale facilities with the multiplication of elements. These sets of small objects would later be used as "matrix" to produce paintings. This methodology was reversed in subsequent works where objects/installations were produced from photographs and fragments of paintings.
At the moment, the most used material by herself is metal/iron and the production concentrates on objects and paintings. Use of an ashes scale to paint the dialogue with the texture of the metal.
