André Freire-Rocha's work materialises through different mediums, mostly based on digital processes, in multimedia audio-visual installations, consisting of the practices of Photography, Video, Digital Painting and Sculpture, Sound and creative programming languages.
His works focus above all on formal, conceptual and procedural issues.
Seeking to establish a discourse of his own, appropriate to contemporary artistic practice, he questions, addresses and explores various themes, where schools of thought, such as science and philosophy, underpin the arguments that are subsequently filtered through a personal and partly unconscious interpretation.
Photography and video are fundamental practices in his work, both as an artistic medium and as a recording document.
