The works of Francisco Loureiro show instants of a contingent reality, where nature presents itself as a fragile component of a structure built by the subjective vision of the human being. In his videos we see natural elements in situations of instability, over which hangs an anxiety caused by a feeling of constant anticipation. For this purpose, the artist creates loops of short duration, composed of a single continuous plane, which repeat imperceptibly. These videos are compositions formed by various elements, coming from his personal archive of footage, stock videos and digital animations that are combined through compositing techniques to create an illusion of verisimilitude, exploring the potentialities of movement as a pictorial element.
