Jaime Carvalho assumes himself as a portuguese figurative sculptor.
Having the knowledge of different sculpting techniques to convey his concepts and ideas, he works with diverse materials, such as marble, metal, wood and ceramics.
Focus on representing contemporary thoughts and exploring topics to which the viewer can relate. The representation is his natural vehicle to create that connection, letting the public develop their thoughts and narratives about the works.
Jaime studied Fine Arts in Lisbon and pursued his master’s degree in Carrara, Italy, deepening his knowledge of different techniques and having the opportunity to connect with the heart of the marble city, Carrara, which influenced his work immensely.
