Joana Carvalho e Silva (1988) was born in Braga, city where she lives and works.
She graduated in Psychology at the University of Minho (2006 and 2009). Master in Painting (2010-2012) and currently following a doctoral degree in Painting at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto.
She exhibits since 2010, and have been publishing and presenting conferences internationally on visual arts, cinema and anthropology.
She is represented at the Center of Modern Art of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
