Visual artist Inês Quente works in the field of image through photography and video. Her artistic work is centred on continuous research into the human condition in the relationship between Human-Animal and Human-Nature. It always starts from an individual and personal perspective and only then establishes itself as collective and global. It explores environmental and social issues present in contemporary society, in an attempt to open the door to critical thinking and philosophical questioning, on board an infinite journey through conscious knowledge.
Inês Quente has a master's degree in Documentary Film from UCA in the UK and a degree in Multimedia - Fine Arts from FBAUP in Porto.
I am inspired by authors, artists and thinkers who try to understand and create languages, images and new ways of seeing, to correlate and translate their surroundings and how they can contribute to improving them.
