Virgínia is a contemporary painter focused on realism. Technic has always been the baseline for her work, as well as design and taste - giving realism a freer and more expressive approach.
Her still life paintings capture light, form and feel, describing a mood in oily brushstrokes. They are painted from life, in one session. A technic known as “Alla prima”, so as to capture the nature of the objects as true as possible.
This work contrasts the dark background with the soft, light colours of the doll, making it the main object of the artwork.
