Carlos Cavaleiro builds his work from a phenomenological perspective. He often works through things found in different media such as sculpture, photography and video. These things are collected, destroyed, repaired, conjugated, dismembered and re-created by creating associations and dissociations, trying to subvert the significant burden objects carry, creating "between" forms (which exploit ambiguity and poetics). These forms are often distinguished by their physicality, from which the object-subject relationship is mixed, and the objects, on this effect, gain soul characteristics.
