Ana Pais Oliveira seeks to eliminate the boundaries between painting and architecture basing the work around the theme of ‘the home’. In her work, painting loses its two-dimensionality and architecture is no longer habitable. The works assume different forms and unfold in a variety of materials and scales. Geometrical canvas and MDF structures are often presented as mock-ups, playing with colour and line built over a process of aesthetic addition and subtraction.
