Chris Stevens was born in 1956.
Currently living and working in London and France.
With a degree from the University of Reading (1974-78), he has been awarded with Arts Council residencies, and with several awards, including Portrait Award at the National Gallery London. His work has been exhibited in Europe, USA and Japan, including REALITY at Walker Gallery, with artists such as Lucien Freud, David Hockney and Walter Sickert.
He has work in public and private collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, The National Gallery of Wales, Unilever, Galerija Portreta, Bosnia & Herzegovina and many private collections in Europe, South Africa and USA.
