Sebastião Peixoto was born in Braga and he graduated in Painting at Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto. He works as a freelance illustrator, collaborating with several publishers such as Planeta, Leya, Porto Editora and La Fragatina. He has published works in several Fanzines, magazines and newspapers, and regularly participates in collective exhibitions of painting and illustration in Portugal and abroad. In 2012, the book he illustrated, “Quando eu for ... Grande” (“When I.. Grow up”), was named as the Best Children's Book by the Portuguese Society of Authors, and edited in Colombia and China. In 2014 he won an Honorable Mention at the 7th International Illustration Meeting of S. João da Madeira. In 2016 he was selected for the Ibero American Illustration Catalog, and in 2017 he won a gold award at THESIF (The Seoul Illustration Fair).
