Rodrigo Amado (b.1964) after participating in a Kameraphoto portfolio workshop, where he meets with António Júlio Duarte, starts a long creative collaboration that continues today, and that gives rise to his first individual photography exhibition, "Close, Closer".
Being internationally recognized as one of the leading names in European avant-garde jazz, with an extensive discography and articles published about his music in leading publications such as Village Voice, in the United States, The Wire, in the United Kingdom, or Folha de São Paulo, Brazil, Amado develops a strong connection between music and photography, a connection that gains particular significance in the edition of the albums “Surface”, dedicated to Stephen Shore, “Searching for Adam”, whose concerts in the large auditorium of Culturgest and at Casa da Música integrated the projection of images from the photographic series with the same name, or “A History of Nothing”, their most recent photographic series.
