“Blue Calm” inspired by Mediterranean Sea and the quality of light unique to its environment. This is captured by building layers of oil paint and lightly sanded them down, using thin glazes of varnish and linseed oil to build up vibrating hues of calming blues and grays. Between The tactility of collage and the vastness of the ephemeral, “Experimental Landscapes” begins to construct the calm.

For me painting is a way of experimentation. Playing with the ideas of vast spaces typically using landscapes and seascapes as inspiration. I am not looking for a formula to reproduce. Instead I am driven by a constant curiosity to create and discover.
