In collaboration with shair project, PRIMAVERA invited 5 (still) emerging artists to personalize the panels of the new building.
With its newly opened space, PRIMAVERA was eager to accommodate its employees in a much more comfortable way.
Completely aware of the importance of the involving area regarding productivity and quality, this software company promoted interventions on the common spaces of the building, to foster a familiar and presence feeling among their employees.
PRIMAVERA associates itself to shair to create live art
Being shair a promotor of a revolution on the contemporary art market, PRIMAVERA launched us the challenge to make these live interventions happen on the common areas of the building.
Shair project is a space for sharing emerging art, which purpose is to give an opportunity to new artists to disseminate, exhibit and commercialize their art, and fostering their recognition and visibility through our channels.
Divided between an online platform and a physical space (Rua do Raio, nº175, Braga) shair has already 3000 submitted artworks on the categories of drawing, illustration, painting, sculpture and photography.
After analyzing the artist’s portfolios, PRIMAVERA determined which ones were going to work on each floor, according to the specifications of each service.
Carlos Mensil was the chosen one for the intervention of the 3rd floor of the building, Mafalda Ramos was the one selected for the 4th floor, João Abreu to the 5th floor, João Maia was responsible for the 6th floor and finally, Patricia Gomes was going to personalize the panel of the 7th floor.
All the interventions were previously briefed and there were also talks and a lot of exchange of opinions with the employees of each floor, so that the final result would be close to their visions and expectations.
THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING CULTURE
PRIMAVERA is aware of the importance of supporting emerging artists, whose professional path is still starting, and therefore transformed these interventions on a contest. Dr. Mário Sequeira, director of the Galley Mário Sequeira in Braga, was the guest jury for this contest. The company attributed monetary awards to every participant.
Mafalda Ramos won the first place and Carlos Mensil was awarded with the second place.
