Andres Montenegro is a multi-artist working in ceramics, painting, photography and literature. Andres’s art is abstract, intuitive and metaphysical. He was influenced by different cultures, from Japanese through Russian, Spanish, German to French and Polish.
¨I am inspired by the idea of making the Aristotelian travel – to relearn the world. I’ve always had the curiosity to follow the fate o my own Odyssey. My destiny and the way of living were always strongly linked to the artistic expression. Discovering the world around through my life travel – from a spiritual, intellectual or simply intuitive perception- is something that I’ve tried to express in my works. First, from a Mediterranean perspective – influenced by Hispanic Christian, Arabian, Jewish, Greco-Roman culture. Later, from Asiatic, Slavic, Anglo-Saxon, etc.¨
